Shun-Jung Hsu, a native of Taiwan, maintains an active profile across the United States, Europe, and Asia as a soloist and chamber musician. Shun-Jung began her piano studies at the age of four and continued her studies in the Special Education of Music Program for Talented Youth and then at University of Taipei, where she studied with Professor Andrei Yeh (葉孟儒). In 2012, she moved to the United States to pursue her dream as professional pianist and since has appeared in many cities of United States, including venues such as Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, National Opera Center (NYC), Missouri Theatre (Columbia, MO), White Recital Hall (Kansas City), E. Desmond Lee Concert Hall, Jewel Box (St. Louis City, MO), Sursa Performance Hall (Indianapolis, IN), and Stoughton Opera House (WI). She has also given numerous performances elsewhere in Austria, Germany and Portugal and Taiwan. Hsu’s festival performances include Morzarteum Summer Academy, Interharmony International Music Festival, Coimbra World Piano Meeting and Mizzou International Composer Festival.  Her latest achievements include winning second prize in America Prize in 2018-2019 season and first place in 2018 American Protege International Competition of Romantic Music.  


Shun-Jung holds a master degree in piano performance from University of Missouri-Columbia where she studied with Dr. Peter Miyamoto as a recipient of full tuition scholarship and stipend. Currently Shun-Jung is pursuing her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at University of Wisconsin-Madison with scholarships under the tutelage of pianist Christopher Taylor. Her additional studies include lessons/ master classes with Alexander Braginsky, Aquiles Delle Vigne, Carmen Piazzini, Chun Pan (潘淳), Hsing-Chwen Hsin (辛幸純), Mamiko Suda, Meng-Chieh Liu (劉孟捷), Min Kwon, Nadezda N. Demianova, and Sergei Kvitko. Her chamber music teachers include Martha Fischer, Stefan Freund, and Suzanne Beia among others.

In her spare time, Shun-Jung enjoys photography, hiking and backpacking, exploring the beauty of nature around the world.
